Become a Summer Food Service Program Sponsor!
Whether you have decided to sponsor a meal site again this year or you are interested in becoming a sponsor for the first time, this website is designed to help walk you through the process. What is the Summer Food Service Program (SFSP)?As a SFSP sponsor, you can help children get the food they need to fuel up for summer fun so they can learn, play, and grow when they are not in school. The Summer Food Service Program provides healthy meals at no charge to children age 18 and younger in their communities. Program sponsors serve meals with milk, meat, fruits, vegetables, and bread. All meals and snacks meet federal nutrition standards. What is a sponsor?

Sponsors have administrative and financial responsibility for all sites they operate.
New sponsors or staff who do not have self-registration rights Trainings will be held in different locations throughout the State for three different audience groups: School Food Authority; Non-School Food Authority; and School Food Authority/Non-School Food Authority Combined Classes. Due to increased program information that we would like to convey at this time, we are requiring all applicants to attend face-to-face training prior to the beginning of the operation of their 2010 SFSP. Individual sponsors may be given specific instructions by their Community Operations office to attend specific training as part of a corrective action. Suggested participants are the person(s) completing the application and budget, submitting the claims or the person who performs these tasks in their absence. The FND Training Unit adheres to standard procedures to ensure success at our training events.
